Gringos is a vibrant, unique gathering place featuring the essentials for happiness and a life well-lived;
Margaritas, Tequila, and Delicious
Mexican Food that is Good for the Soul.
Much like historical downtown Youngstown, we’re a melting pot of good people, rich culture, and have an unbridled spirit. We’re that place on the map where you’ll have a good day, a great night, and create stories worth telling.
At Gringo’s we infuse our food, our drinks, and our service with a zest that is the tangible. You’ll sip it, shoot it, taste it and most importantly feel it.
Pronunciation /ˈɡriNGɡō/ /ˈɡrɪŋɡoʊ/
(in Spanish-speaking countries and contexts, chiefly in the Americas) a person, especially an American, who is not Hispanic or Latino.
The term Gringo was popularized in the beach towns of Mexico. Of Spanish origin, it refers to anyone who is a foreigner, and most commonly is used in reference to Americans. Folklore says it was generated when the US invaded Mexico, wearing green uniforms, and the people shouted, “Green Go Home.” The term now is most commonly used to describe a foreigner in a foreign land.
